Zak manages one of the biggest Maine hemp production facilities after sourcing more than 200,000 hemp seeds to ultimately sprout 175,000 hemp seedlings in a warehouse in Belfast, Maine. He started growing cannabis about 15 years ago and officially started his cannabis career working alongside Derek Ross at CannaTech in 2013. He left southern New England and CannaTech to pursue his dream of farming and living a simple lifestyle in Maine where he started growing hemp in 2017. Now working with Future Farms Technologies LLC we are at the forefront of the hemp industry in Maine. Both in 2017 and 2018, Zak grew over 10% of the state of Maine’s total acreage of hemp.
