Tara Sargente (known in the industry as “Tara Misu”) is the CEO and founder of Blazin’ Bakery, New Jersey’s first legal edibles company. Her product line, launched in 2010, features optimized brownie mixes that enable anyone to make potent DIY edibles. Blazin’ Bakery mixes have been sold in Spencer Gifts and over 1,000 shops nationally. The company currently also offers CBD products and is constantly expanding.

Tara is using her near decade of experience working in cannabis to advance legalization and has worked closely with NJ legislators, activists and media to expand and improve our Medical Marijuana Program. She is currently the Executive Director of the New Jersey CannaBusiness Association, the states first and largest cannabis trade organization.

Before her time in cannabis Tara worked as a designer/branding specialist in New York and London, her resume includes Fortune 500 companies such as Google, Victoria’s Secret and Hearst Corporation.

Tara graduated with honors from Rutgers University and has studied extraction science in both Denver and California. She has an extensive background in edibles creation, both small batch and commercial processing.
