John Bradley graduated from Stanford University and Stanford University School of Law. He is the Co-Chairperson of the Prince Lobel Tye Cannabis Team. In 2014, Prince Lobel became one of the first Massachusetts law firms to begin representing clients in the medical marijuana industry. Since that time, John and Prince Lobel has represented many of the medical and now Adult Use marijuana businesses that have successfully obtained licenses and now operate within the Commonwealth, including the first medical marijuana dispensary in Boston, and the first licensed Adult Use dispensary and cultivate in the Commonwealth. John provides corporate and investment advice, to all of the Prince Lobel clients. Much of this advice includes organization planning for its cannabis clients, to offer best practices advice regarding regulatory compliance, the 2017 Tax Reform and Internal Revenue Code Section 280E. He has repeatedly written on regulatory issues affecting the Massachusetts cannabis industry. Investment rounds and M&A of Cannabis entities now comprises more than 50% of John’s time. In 2018, John has represented successfully Massachusetts licensees in 7 private equity or M&A deals. He is currently representing a Canadian publicly-held company in connection with the announced purchase of another Massachusetts marijuana organization. Each has required focus on not just the business terms, but compliance with evolving regulations.
