I am passionate about the healing power of cannabis and its capacity to help abate the local and national opioid epidemic, treat arthritis, help control epileptic seizures and veterans’ capacity to cope with PTSD, to ease the symptoms of inflammatory bowel diseases, chronic pain, nausea from chemotherapy, and so much more. I have years of managerial experience, unique knowledge of cultivation as a medical cannabis patient, and an in-depth understanding of the health and wellness industry. I recently earned a certification in Cannabis Science and Medicine through University of Vermont’s Larner School of Medicine. Since then I have continued to develop a rich foundation of knowledge of the medical cannabis industry and therapeutic applications of the plant from scientific research. I have a proven ability to work effectively with individuals (from 10+ years of experience as a yoga instructor and educator), groups small and large (from managing a retail staff, to hundreds of volunteers and thousands of guests in festival settings), and the ability to train and manage a staff to best serve customer and/or patient needs. I demonstrate honesty, integrity, and reliability; I can appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information, as I have for years working with yoga students and training yoga instructors. I am a motivated and entrepreneurial spirit who founded and operates Vermont’s only annual yoga conference, which in its active nine years has served thousands of people. I also founded Liberate School of Yoga, accredited through the highly-rated international organization, Yoga Alliance, to certify and train skilled yoga instructors. I feel assured that I can lead well by example. I have great attention to detail and tested problem solving skills, as evidenced by the number of projects and teams that I’ve successfully managed. My dedicated efforts as co-founder and Marketing Director at Laughing River Yoga have helped the studio earn “Best Yoga Studio” in Vermont, as voted by Seven Days newspaper readers in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
