Jaime Lewis, (Coldwater Consulting, NEO Alternatives/Root 66) has more than fifteen years of experience managing Medical/Adult Use Cannabis production, manufacturing and retail operations. Her expertise has pervaded several regulated markets across the U.S., in both private and publicly traded organizations. As an early pioneer of the Cannabis Industry, Ms. Lewis was responsible for her start-up’s operations and close participation in the regulatory process which propelled her into leadership roles in several professional trade organizations and regulatory work groups. Jaime now serves as the Vice President of Operations for NEO Alternatives/Root 66 and operates Coldwater Consulting, a multi-disciplinary Cannabis Consulting firm that provides end to end solutions for the Medical/Adult Use Cannabis Industries, the emerging CBD market and ancillary businesses expanding into these nascent markets.

A California Culinary Academy graduate, Ms. Lewis began creating Medical Cannabis edibles for HIV/AIDS patients in California. In 2009, Jaime moved to Colorado and founded Mountain Medicine, an infused product manufacturer which supplied craft medical/adult use edibles to licensed Dispensaries throughout the State. As the founder, CEO and executive chef of a self-funded company, she oversaw every aspect of operations; designing the commercial kitchen, crafting recipes, while directly managing branding, marketing, hiring, maintaining compliance, licensing, budgeting, build out and business development. Ms. Lewis led her company to be one of the first licensed Adult Use infused products manufacturers, receiving National recognition for her infused Pie Bar by High Times.

Jaime Lewis also served as the Chief Operating Officer/Vice President of Business Development of Good Chemistry, a vertically integrated cannabis company, where she was responsible for all facets of cultivation, manufacturing and retail operations. Further, she executed national expansion campaigns; bringing the company from its roots in California to Colorado, Massachusetts and Nevada while positioning herself as a National policy advocate and leader. Jaime provided similar services as the Vice President of Business Development of Ianthus and the CEO/COO of Mayflower Medicinals in their startup phase. In this capacity, Lewis also engaged in the oversight of the corporate set up, hiring of the executive team, while learning compliance and recording requirements for a publicly traded company.

Since entering the Industry, Ms. Lewis has provided guidance to legislators and regulators across the U.S. supporting the creation of responsible regulations. Jaime participated in advisory groups such as the Denver Marijuana work group, Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division work group and the California Industry Initiative work group and was the Co-Chair of the National Packaging and Labeling Standards Committee. She is now serving her second term in the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission and was the former Chair of its Health and Safety Committee.

Ms. Lewis held original Board seats of Women Grow and the Council on Responsible Cannabis Regulation where she facilitated the conversation for effective legislation. Lewis also was a co-founder, Board Member and Chair of the Edibles Council of the Cannabis Business Association, a trade organization focused on self-regulation. Jaime Lewis was an active member of the Board of Directors of the National Cannabis Industry Association for seven years, of which she served as one of the first female Chairs for three consecutive years. She was one of the first members of the Policy Council and the founder and Chair of the Infused Products Council. Jaime’s prowess and success in managing operations, business development and expansion in the everchanging regulatory world of Cannabis startups has made her a highly sought out professional with a reputation and ability to position a company to become a leading brand.
