Elizabeth G. Dost is a registered nurse and senior health care executive, with more than 25 years- experience in the Boston area health care market. She is currently serving as a Senior Executive Health Care Consultant in Medical Cannabis and has done so since 2012 making her generally recognized as the first nurse in Massachusetts to publicly advocate for the Compassionate Use of Medical Marijuana. Ms. Dost is a Cannabis Nurse and past Nominating Committee member of the American Cannabis Nurse Association. A member of the Society for Cannabis Clinicians, she has been invited to assist them in starting their new Boston based New England Chapter which has been renamed ACS. Beth is a member of Americans for Safe Access, Patients Out of Time, and serves on the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) speaker’s list. Additionally, she donates lecture time to the Hospice and Palliative Care Federation of Massachusetts, having presented in 2017 and 2018 on “Cannabis and Hospice”. Ms. Dost has participated on panels at NECANN in Boston for two years, lectured at Berkeley, California for Patients Out of Time on HIPAA and Cannabis; and at Dartmouth Hitchcock Parkinson’s Conference on Cannabis and Parkinson’s Disease. Beth has participated in public policy creation, having collaborated with Senate President Stan Rosenberg, Sen, Marc Pacheco and Sen. Patricia Jaylen in addition to many state representatives. She has testified on cannabis before the State of Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Senate and House of Representatives of Massachusetts, and via invitation to the Cannabis Control Commission both in public forum and by personal appointment. Beth is a registered participant of My Compassion and the Medical Cannabis Institute, Americans for Safe Access and serves as Clinical Director for the Massachusetts Patient’s Advocacy Alliance (MPAA). She serves as the Healthcare Strategist for PotBotics and has been a featured guest on radio; having completed an interview on Opioids and Marijuana for NPR out of WGBH Boston, was interviewed live by Rick the “Talk to Me Guy” in San Francisco, THCTuscon, Patients Out of Time radio, and Fox News Boston to name a few. Prior to this endeavor, Ms. Dost was the Vice President and Executive Director of a non-profit hospice company who drove a culture of compassionate care to all persons and their loved ones seeking end of life health services and support. Under her leadership this company grew 400% in 40 months. Always a passionate advocate for patients, her resume includes; CEO and President of Primary Health Services, Inc., a premier pediatric home care company and a nationally recognized provider of home care services to medically complex, fragile children who would otherwise face long-term hospitalization; CCO of a private duty aftercare and eldercare service company and Director of Clinical Services for a skilled nursing home based hospice company which grew 600% in 20 months under her leadership. Most notably, Elizabeth G. Dost RN, was awarded Ernst and Young, Merrill Lynch and Inc. Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Healthcare, New England Region and is a member of their elite group Alumni. She also received Special Recognition by the Massachusetts’ Department of Public Health for services provided to a foster child suffering from AIDS; was an invited participant to the US Surgeon General’s Conference in Washington, DC, and continues to lecture annually at Stonehill College on business, leadership,
