Professionally trained as a pharmacist, Dr. Monica Taing graduated from Northeastern University with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree where she completed Endocannabinoid Receptor System research. Dr. Taing serves as a Board Member and the Membership Director of Doctors for Cannabis Regulation (DFCR), the Director of Research and Clinical Education for Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM), a Medical Science Liaison for 4Front Ventures, and as a clinical cannabis consultant specialist for Columbia University’s Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education Training Center (NEC-AETC), hospital systems, and academic medical institutions. Actively working to design and deliver fact-based clinical cannabis education for underserved patient populations and the healthcare community, Dr. Taing is a member of the International Society of Cannabis Pharmacists (ISCPh), American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and Society of Cannabis Clinicians (SCC). While engaging patients, caregivers, politicians, policymakers, and fellow medical professionals with data-driven outreach, Dr. Taing prioritizes educating on public safety and promoting harm reduction practices.
